Every month we put one member’s Pajero in the spotlight — the builds, the mods and the stories behind how South African owners make these machines their own. From mild and tasteful to full overland weapons, this is where the community shows off its work.
What It’s About
Pajero of the Month is part feature, part inspiration board. Each month we profile a single vehicle in detail: what was done, why, what it cost, what works and what the owner would do differently. It’s a real-world modification guide written by the people actually living with the results — not a catalogue.
The Kind of Builds We Feature
We love every flavour of Pajero build. Some of the modifications that regularly earn a spotlight:
- Suspension lift kits — the right springs, shocks and geometry for the load and the terrain
- All-terrain & mud-terrain tyres — and the wheel, clearance and gearing changes that come with them
- Snorkels & water-crossing prep — raised intakes, breathers and sealed electrics
- Bull bars, sliders & underbody protection — bash plates, rock sliders and recovery points
- Roof racks, drawers & storage — the practical overlanding touring setup
- Long-range tanks, dual batteries & auxiliary lighting — the remote-travel essentials
- Engine, cooling & drivetrain upgrades — sensible reliability and capability gains
How to Enter Your Build
It’s open to every member, across every generation — Gen 1 restorations, blister-fender Gen 2s, modern Pajero Sports, the lot. To be considered, join free and submit your build through the community: a few photos, your spec list and the story behind it. We feature one vehicle a month, and there’s no charge — just the bragging rights.
